Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible.

At Northern Ballet we share the Arts Award ethos and support, motivate and inspire young people using creative dance.

We are proud to be an Arts Award Centre and Arts Award Supporter, delivering all levels from Discover through to Gold. Arts Award offers young people up to the age of 25 a unique opportunity to develop creative, communication and leadership skills whilst earning a national qualification.

Through workshops, performances and talks, young people can explore the themes and creative teams behind our productions and gain an insight into Northern Ballet.

We can work with your school to offer a bespoke Arts Award project that will be created and delivered by our specialist dance artists. Outside of school, we offer the opportunity to achieve an Arts Award qualification during projects throughout the year. They will be listed on this page when they become available. If you are interested in attending a weekly class, the Academy of Northern Ballet also offer Arts Award with their Associate Training Programme

We have been named as a Trinity Champion Centre 2021/22 for our successful delivery of Arts Award qualifications in dance. Trinity Champion Centres inspire other organisations by sharing their practice and advocating for accreditation in their communities and more widely.
